Camping Piantelle is located in Moniga del Garda on the western shores of Lake Garda, near the cities of Salo and Desenzano. We have a 200 meters beach, made of gravel not sand. The lake floor deepens gradually, so is perfect for the swimming of small children. Our two swimming pools and sauna are the major highlights at Piantelle. The swimming pool it's the perfect place whether you want to keep fit by swimming lengths (the adult pool is 25 metres long) or splash about in the children’s pool. It is surrounding by a spacious sunbathing area, equipped with comfortable sunny beds and sunny umbrellas. Both the pool and the sauna are free for Piantelle guests. In our Restaurant "Vinessa" we serve simple Italian dishes, from home-made pizzas and pasta to fresh fish from the lake, using local ingredients where possible. We take great pride in providing a friendly service and believe the little things matter, be it the smile of a waiter or the quality of the wine. The bar is open everyday from 8:00 a.m. until 23:00 pm, serving coffees and croissants in the morning and cocktails in the evening. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner only. There is also a market shop which sells basic groceries and basic essentials products. In the surroundings there are many places to visit and different activities to experience, whether you’re interested in dining out on fine Italian food, sampling the great local wines or visiting museums and galleries. Moniga harbour is at five walking minutes from the campsite and there you will be able to rent a boat. In the picturesque towns that hug the shores of the lake, such as Salo and Desenzano, there are many restaurants and shops and interesting historical places to vist. The nearby Valpolicella region, famous for its fine wines, is just 40 minutes away. If you’re an opera fan, then you can’t miss a night at the Arena di Verona. And if you fancy a little pampering, the hot termal baths of nearby Sirmione are definitely worth to visit.
