Domaine Rodie is a spacious colonial villa circa 1910 set in 62 acres of private land including both landscaped gardens and beautiful forest. The property was previously owned by Professor Cremieu a French physicist and professor at the Sorbonne. It was used as a summer house for family and friends including the famous scientists Curie and Einstein. It has now been fully restored into a Bed and Breakfast with four beautiful guest rooms. The villa is split onto three levels, the main house, inner courtyard and the swimming pool area. The pool measures 12 x 6m and is surrounded by a large terrace with mature grapevines and palm trees. All rooms are light and spacious and have en suite bathroom facilities with shower. There is free internet access available. The domaine itself is situated in the middle of the Regional Park of Languedoc, an unspoilt area rich in history. The coastline of Languedoc stretches for 250 miles along the Mediterranean .Within ten minutes drive you find the spa town of Lamalou-les-Bains which is famous for thermal remedies and sits 200m above sea level. Take pleasure in a meal in the spectacular untouched surroundings of the Domaine serving classic yet original French-Belgian cuisine. Our inspiration comes from the use of fresh seasonal produce combining culinary techniques to create innovative dishes. Enjoy this dining experience with the panoramic views from the terrace or next to the open log fire. The Languedoc also has many amazing wines and is often underestimated. The area has around 700,000 acres under vines and is the single biggest wine producing region in the world, being responsible for more than a third of the total wine production in France. The region of Languedoc has many activities to offer. Itis a paradise for walkers and cyclists and in the nearbysurroundings you can enjoy fishing, tennis, horse riding, kayaking ,local markets, walking tours, city trips, and much more.
