The Villa Cappugi hotel is located in the historical town of Pistoia, about 1 km from the centre. It is an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions of Tuscany. It is just 20 minutes from Florence, 40 minutes from Pisa and about 1 hour from Siena and S. Gimignano. The hotel, which opened in 2006, is a new and elegant building constructed in traditional Tuscan style, featuring large and stylish spaces, as well as comfortable, elegant furniture. There are 73 rooms and suites in total, spread over 2 floors. It is air-conditioned and has a lobby, 24-hour reception, 24-hour check-in/check-out service, a currency exchange facility, a bar, a games room, a TV room, a restaurant, conference facilities, WLAN access and cycle hire, as well as room and laundry services. Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car. The tasteful dcor and comfortable atmosphere in the rooms will guarantee guests an unforgettable stay. The rooms and suites are welcoming and spacious and have balconies overlooking the surrounding hills and the swimming pool. They are equipped with the latest conveniences, such as LCD TV with a flat screen, satellite TV, radio, WLAN access, individually-adjustable air conditioning, direct dial telephone, fridge/bar, safe deposit box, en suite bathroom with bathtub and heated towel rails, hairdryer and ironing set, as well as either double or king-size beds. The spaces are functional, combining comfort with contemporary design, allowing guests to live in them in style. The harmony of colours and materials offers serenity and privacy, ensuring guests' relaxation and well being. The guests can take advantage of the 3 hectares of park and gardens, an open-air heated swimming pool (with poolside snack bar) surrounded by a large park, 2 clay tennis courts and 2 synthetic mini-football pitches. Mountain biking is also an option. In the Cascina di Villa Cappugi Restaurant, excellent Tuscan cooking is combined with traditional Italian food culture. It places great emphasis on traditional flavours, real ingredients in season and creativity, in a variety of elegant surroundings. The chef Luigi Ugolini and his team provide a seasonal menu which uses high quality local produce.
