Situated in the EU district of Brussels, within a few steps of Maalbeek Metro station, the 4-star Thon Hotel EU is brand new for 2012. The hotel is both conveniently close to the centre of EU business activity and within walking distance of popular tourist attractions, such as the Royal Palace, Museum of Natural Sciences and Horta Pavilion. The glass and marble facade of the hotel frame its open plan interior, singling it out as thoroughly modern. Facilities on-site include a fitness centre with brand new equipment. On the ground floor guests can browse in a handful of shops which sell a range of goods including snacks, toiletries, travel appliances and souvenir trinkets. Lunch and dinner is served in the hotels-ns Brasserie-style restaurant which sources fresh ingredients locally to ensure that guests have a unique dining experience. During the summer the restaurant opens onto a terrace so guests can choose to eat al fresco. After dinner guests can retire to the bar adjoining the restaurant which serves drinks throughout the evening. Classic rooms offer modern amenities with a no frills approach. Rooms are spacious and simply designed with budget travellers with a penchant for comfort and convenience in mind. Well fitted out with bedside tables, desk and chair, armchairs and bathroom with shower or bath and complimentary toiletries, rooms include air conditioning, pay TV and a mini-bar. The hotel provides large underground car park for guest use.
