The Sarah Kendall House built in 1871 is 17 miles away from PVD T.F. Green Airport (RI). The hotel is a large green house with beige trim on the left at the ninth intersection at the corner of Washington and Elm. Also it is a five minute walk from the beauty of downtown Newport and steps away from scenic Goat Island. The hotel features the 50 foot tall tower sitting room that provides a dramatic panorama of the Newport waterfront. The area attraction includes antiques shopping, aquarium, art galleries, beach, gourmet/fine dining, historical interests, live music, movie theater, museum, ocean, Newport Winter Festival, Newport Music Festival, Tennis Hall of Fame, historic homes in neighborhood, Mansion Tours, Annual International Boat Show, vineyard, and winery. The hotel is an elegant empire Victorian in the city by the sea's historic point neighborhood with stunning bed and breakfast across from Newport Harbor, praising everything from the water views, antique furnishings, and off street parking. Guests can get off to a terrific start with Gourmet cook Fran Babcock whips up mouthwatering dishes like eggs benedict, blueberry French toast, and fresh fruit cup served with juices and coffee. The hotel serves on crystal that catches the rays of the sun, antique china, and a gorgeous assortment of platters and pitchers. Treats are served on the expansive front porch overlooking Newport Harbor decorated with wicker chairs, settees, and the porch is the perfect place for watching the sunset.
