The Luna Alvor Bay features 149 exquisitely furnished Studio Apartments distributed over 14 floors, offering everything you need for a well-deserved rest. Situated on the sandy beach of Praia do Alvor near the Ria de Alvor Natural Reserve with its unique green and tranquil surroundings, the 3 Star Luna Alvor Bay is a great base from which to enjoy Alvor, go a bit further to Portimao (5 km) for great shopping, and experience the excitement of the Algarve night life at Praia da Rocha (8 km). Visitors to this relaxing leisure destination will find their tension and worries melting away while enjoying all that this coastal paradise has to offer. Although officially a 3*, this property has the decor and facilities of a 4* hotel. Please note: Guests booked on half board can enjoy a "dine around" programme where you can dine out each evening at a choice of selected local restaurants specialising in fish, meat, Italian and traditional Algarve cuisine. Menus for each of the participating restaurants are displayed in reception. Faro International Airport is 67 km from the Luna Alvor Bay. Local Tips: There are excellent places for night life nearby, like Casino da Rocha that offers international-style cabaret shows. Nearby Albufeira has an attractive old village with traditional low fisherman's cottages, churches and narrow cobbled streets. Definitely worth a visit! FACILITIES: Food, drink and entertainment: Self Catering or Bed and Breakfast accommodation. The Luna Alvor Bay has a Bar, Terrace Bar, Pool Bar, and Snack bar. Plenty of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops are within walking distance. Alvor has excellent restaurants tucked in the narrow streets of the fishing village. Please note for guests staying here on a Half Board basis take their dinner in a local restaurant which is located approximately 300 metres from the hotel. Sports, games and activities: Swimming pool, children's pool, sun terrace with sun beds, children's playground. Golfers will find the most elite Golf Courses on the Algarve close by as well as beaches and plenty of water sports. Additional: 24 hour reception, tourist information, lift, Internet/email services, free parking, apartments are cleaned every day and towels are changed every day. Bed linen is changed twice a week.
