The Hotel deLuxe stands out among Portland hotels because of its Hollywood glamor atmosphere. It is located in uptown Portland right next to the MAX light rail which offers free service to downtown and the airport. Attractions including the Chinese Gardens, the Oregon Zoo, and the PGE Sports Park are all easily reachable from the hotel. The Hotel deLuxe’s lobby and halls may be a throwback to the days of Hollywood glamor, but its 136 rooms carry a number of modern amenities. Each room comes with flat screen TVs, HDTV, MP3 menus and MP3 listening stations. The Hotel deLuxe is a bit of a theme hotel. It is decorated in Art-Deco design and the halls are covered with hundreds of photos from films of the 1930s to 1950s. Each floor has a theme from a different movie of that era including Hitchcock and Orson Wells’ classics. The hotel’s business center, fitness center and room service all operate around the clock.
