Stay at the Hostel Central, Munich when you are backpacking through Germany or just traveling on a budget. This newly opened Munich guest house offers both private and shared rooms within walking distance of Munich Central Station (Munchen Hauptbahnhof) and Theresienwiese, where Oktoberfest is held. Hostel Central is a newly opened guest house that is entirely non-smoking. Guests can use the communal kitchen, a TV lounge, conference rooms, an internet and W-LAN lounge, a bike storage room, and a guest laundry with a washer and dryer. A breakfast buffet and packed lunches are available for a nominal fee. The staff can rent out computer notebooks, cell phones, digital cameras, MP3 players, and bicycles. Parking spaces reserved for guests of Hostel Central are available at a nearby underground garage for approx. €10,00 per day. The guest house is located 1.7 km/1.1 miles east of Munich’s historic city centre, around the central square called the Marienplatz. Filled with shops and restaurants, the square is dominated by the New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus), with its elaborate glockenspiel, and by the Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus). From Hostal Central it takes approx. 5 minutes to walk to the Munchen Hauptbahnhof and 10 minutes to walk to the official grounds of the Munich Oktoberfest, a meadow called Theresienwiese.
