The Hotel is situated on Loch Promenade - on the seafront in Douglas-approximately 9 miles from Ronaldsway Airport. Follow signs to Douglas, along the A5. Once in Douglas, follow the A1, towards the sea terminal. At the sea terminal, turn left along the promenade. The hotel is located a quarter of a mile along on the left hand side. A taxi journey from the airport should take around 20-30 minutes and costs approx 20 GBP. The Claremont hotel offers unique facilities for the more demanding traveler with premium location and facilities. This property is good value for money and in addition to it's style, there is WIFI access all throughout. The hotel is a large whitewashed Victorian building. A medium sized lobby with seating areas leading onto a lounge where light snacks are served all day. All 56 rooms at the hotel have undergone a complete refurbishment in late 2004 and are of a very high standard, as are all the bathrooms. The Platinum EXECUTIVE rooms offer higher specification interiors and amazing views across Douglas Bay. They include all of the usual amenities including color televisions with satellite channels, mini fridges, hair dryers and safes. The Hotel Bar and Brasserie called "Coast" offers an excellent modern fusion menu and is extremely popular with tourists and locals alike. It is known locally as one of the best restaurants on the Island. Aside from offering a great value menu, the restaurant is a large and airy space benefiting from an art deco themed interior and excellent views across the bay to the Tower of Refuge and beyond. 1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 15 kms to the nearest airport (ronaldsway).
