The refuge at the mouth of the Triolet basin is among the most frequented on the Italian side of the Monte Bianco (Mont Blanc). This can be attributed to the fact that it is not excessively far from the bottom of the valley, the presence of a section of the trail which is enjoyable and not too demanding, and the view of the Aiguille de Leschaux and the upper basin of the glacier. The modern annexe of the refuge and the presence of numerous mountain climbers have rejuvenated the atmosphere. The old hut leaning against the rocks preserves the mountain atmosphere of the early twentieth century.
