The 3-star Agrihotel Il Palagetto is a traditional farmhouse style hotel with modern furnishings and amenities. Situated near the ancient city of Volterra with its rich cultural history, guests are within driving distance of fascinating attractions such as the Roman theatre the Palazza de Priori and the Pinacoteca art gallery. Other activities in the area include wine tasting, walking trails through preserved countryside, mountain biking and horse riding. Set amongst the hills of the stunning rugged countryside of Montaperti, the hotel is made up of two stone houses and boasts stone ceilings, cotto floor tiles and solid chestnut beams throughout. The outdoor pool situated on the hillside just below the hotel measure 20m by 10m and guests can admire the panoramic view from the hotel's hillside outdoor terrace. Indoors guests can use the solarium, relax in the communal lounge and TV areas or have a drink in the hotel bar. Hotel restaurant Il Cherubino features traditional stone walls a wood beam ceiling and offers traditional Tuscan cooking, with savoury specialities including antipasti, wild rabbit and vegetable stew. During warm months of the year guests can eat alfresco on the terrace. Classic rooms are decorated in a Tuscan style and have a mountain view of the Montaperti countryside. Amenities include air conditioning, a mini-bar satellite TV and a hairdryer. The spacious en-suite bathrooms are adorned with hand made decorations.
